If you're in the Military Relocating or just about to dip your toe into the housing market for the first time, Colorado Springs the right place.

Of 62 U.S. cities with a population of at least 300,000, Colorado Springs ranks No. 1 and among 300 cities nationwide Colorado Springs ranks 15th as an attractive place for first-time buyers to purchase a home, according to a survey released Monday by WalletHub, a personal finance website.

WalletHub compared the 300 U.S. cities to determine the attractiveness of their first-time home-buyer markets. Their survey examined 18 key metrics ranging from housing Affordability and Living Environment, to real-estate taxes and property crime rates.
